A freestyle arrangement in a new twisted purple plastic container. By the way, this context is a good moment to apprectiate Santiago Calatrava’s architecture. I named this post in the honor of ‘Turning Torso’, a skyscraper in Malmö, Sweden.

Tenerife’s highest point, Teide, is surrounded by a natural park filled with pine trees. This volcanic region suffers from occasional forest fires in the hot summer months. The bark of the pine trees in this area is scorched black, but the trees keep growing in the high altitude. This arrangement represents my recent hiking experience on the Chinyero trail. I combined fragile violet flowers with burnt tree material to create a contrast between two feelings: fresh and suffering, gentle and sturdy.

Magnolia, aspidistra and ornamental hay. A freestyle ikebana piece where I combined dark elements and light colours. The main satisfaction, however, arose from the rare possibility to use this precious spring flower as material in Finland where these flowers aren’t often available. The petals areincredibly soft and smooth, like skin. A flawless natural miracle.
