Green and Peachy

I was given some unknown dark purple seedcases, which I wanted to use in a context which would provide enough colour contrast. I was also delighted to use two kinds of conifer tree materials in the same work. These are not materials one comes across every day in Finland.

Rosecatcher

Given the chance to use these beautiful palm leaves in a basic moribana, I took it. Their shape reminds me of Native American feathers, and thus, their use in dreamcatchers. This arrangement is part of our current ikebana exhibition.

Meet Me at the Harbour

This simple arrangement in two containers contains nothing but baby’s breath and de-thorned hawthorn. The colour of the containers repeat the colour of the tiling in the environment.

This work was on exhibition in from the 1st to the 4th of September in 2013.
